Foxgloves

The southern or top side of the Apple Tree Border has many different coloured foxgloves, which self seed each year. There are also large clumps of the geranium Mourning Widow, which I clip back after flowering.

I like all colours of foxgloves - even the common magentas ones.

The rose which climbs up the Apple tree can just be seen in this photograph. It is the hybrid musk rose called Moonlight, and the small tree provides perfect climbing support.
