mcgTV Garden Television

Moosey's Country Garden has many thousands of still photos on the site, and so we think it’s time to launch mcgTV - garden television, bringing you sounds and longer views of the gardens.

The UK team has borrowed a video camera and bought a big memory card to record the gardens we visit. We hope to film Moosey's garden for mcgTV soon too, if Moosey agrees to play classical music while we film...

We took the first garden TV at the bustling Chelsea Flower Show, then at the later Royal Horticultural Society event, Hampton. We also took video of the London Squares open weekend, to show the full grandeur of the gardens.

RHS Chelsea Flower Show

Chelsea Flower Show was a feast of sound and activity - water features bubbling, bands playing and crowds discussing the elaborate gardens. This video footage captures some of the atmosphere of the day, and gives perspective to the gardens which the still images can't achieve.

RHS Hampton Court Flower Show

The video camera was invaluable at Hampton Court Flower Show, to capture the many water gardens and features. The garden designs made the most of the extra space available at Hampton by opening all sides of the garden, so we visitors could explore the different views.

London Squares & Gardens Open Weekend

The London Open Gardens and Squares event, held just once a year, offers a unique insight into private gardens throughout the city. Many gardens have been nurtured over hundreds of years, at the centre of a square of stately townhouses.

Beth Chatto's Gardens (coming soon)

The mcgTV London Team visited Beth Chatto's Gardens on a late autumn day. The website managers mother while we walked around the water gardens. We had a cup of tea then left as the sun set.

Kew Gardens by Night (coming soon)

After purchasing a new digital gardening camera we decided to take the tube out to Kew Gardens to test it out. By the time we arrived we only had 20 minutes of light before we were shooed out. We'll be returning to Kew Gardens in early spring.

Spanish Gardens (coming soon)

We visited several gardens in Southern Spain recently - Generalife in Granada and several Gardens in Ronda that were stunning. Spanish gardens have more cats than Mooseys country garden...
