The Moosey's Country Garden 'Country Charm' Award

I love to visit other gardens. I'm usually too shy to talk to the gardeners - I prefer to wander around, looking and thinking. Some gardeners show very little of their soul, others spread love and joy over the earth like the very best compost.

We've had many visitors from all over the world to Moosey's Country Garden. We've been invited to many gardens and websites in return. There are favourite gardens that we'll revisit, perhaps to see spring blossom in the middle of our winter or to check a gardening friend's latest diary entry. The Moosey's Country Garden 'Country Charm' Award is given to special country garden or farm sites that charm the gardening gloves off us.

Dunn Farm is the first winner of our award. Dunn Farm is farm and garden near Sacramento, U.S.A., where Evelina and Tim have developed their country cottage style garden.

There are inspiring descriptions of the garden areas, personal garden journal notes and observations, and beautiful photographs which make me want to linger. I love the way that Evelina describes the plants in her garden. Each garden space is filled with colour, fragrance and love. I can smell the purple wild violets and hear the frogs breaking the summer stillness.

We at Moosey's Country Garden would like to give Dunn Farm our Country Charm award, and wish Tim and Evelina the very best for their gardening future.
