Gertrude Jekyll Rose

This Gertrude Jekyll Rose started life in the vegetable garden. She has thrived in this new garden, which has good soil, space, and lots of sunshine.

Gertrude Jekyll doesn't last well for me as a cut flower, which is a pity as she smells so good.
Rose by the Willow

Gertrude Jekyll is spindly and frail if planted in an overcrowded place, or if she is out of the sun. Of course she is bred by David Austin, and is one of his earlier English roses.
