Blue Hyacinth

Hyacinths don't get any special treatment in the Moosey Spring Garden - these fragrant spring bulbs live and grow in small patches by the glass-house.

 The perfume is absolutely beautiful.
Blue Spring Flowering Hyacinth

My Hyacinth bulb numbers are few, so consequently I never pick them for the house. In order, therefore, to appreciate their beautiful perfume the nearby lawn must be dry (i.e. the Hyacinth admirer lies full length on the lawn, nose resting on the border edging stones).

Like the more numerous Muscari I love their blue-ness amongst all the creams and yellows of the surrounding daffodils. I only grow blue Hyacinths in my garden.
