Annual Lavatera

The soft pink flowers of this annual Lavatera have a silvery sheen. They are easy to grow from seed, which germinates readily throughout spring, summer and autumn.

The seed is also very easy to collect, and I scatter it around places where I'd like to see some bright pink. These annuals are tall plants, but have strong colour in the sunlight. That's what summer flowering annuals need to be!
