I'm looking forwards to the new gardening year, 2011, wondering what new garden schemes will pop into my head. And looking back over a year where I learnt how small a gardener actually is in the world of nature. A reality check? OK, I'm small, but I can still try and garden 'big'...

My Gazanias aren't fancy hybrids - they've been grown from seed, and have simple daisy flowers. But the colour combinations are wonderful.

In the garden with sunhats and sunblock and long-sleeved gardening shirts , with cool clear aquifer water to drink. Magic! Oh, and some work - I think it's called garden maintenance, a little every day...
