Hostas have wonderful markings and colours, and as early summer foliage plants they are second to none. As long as the garden is snail and slug free, hostas can be enjoyed for weeks.
This is the very first hosta I ever grew at Mooseys. It's just the humble species variety, but I love it. The little blue flowers are annual forget-me-nots.

A group of hostas grow in the shelter of the Lemonwood tree. There are all sorts of shapes and sizes - and colours.
In all its growing months this hosta is well sheltered from the weather and its leaves are never tattered and torn. Its light lime green leaves are the size of a gardener's glove.
