Red Canna Lilly

The red canna flowers from mid summer. Its leaves are subtley striped with dark red and dark green.

I cover the canna with peastraw in winter, just in case the frost gets it.

In recent years there hasn't been quite enough sun in this garden (the new trees have grown) so I've shifted the canna and placed it temporarily in a pot.
