Lemon Rose Washing Line

The Banksia Lutea climbing rose is very carefully being trained along the washing line (you can just about spy the pink plastic pegs which give it away).

Once apon a time, long ago, I used to hang washing out here.

Secretly, I've been training the pale lemon Banksia rose along the washing line for years. Stephen has only just noticed (it's January 2004).

The picture below is from the Moosey Archives, and shows the same washing line completely rose-less. It must have been taken in 1998. All the plantings are very new and very small and neat.

The climbing rose Banksia Lutea flowers only once (quite early in Spring) and has no thorns.
