The Pond in Autumn

The pond in Autumn is a quiet, reflective place to visit. Fallen leaves with rich, autumn colouring float on the top of the water. And, magically, there's usually not a puff of wind.

A rich assortment of colours and shapes.
Autumn Leaves Floating

Each autumn has its own pace, though. Some years the flowering cherry leaves hang on and on, while in other years they fall at the same time as the oak trees. There's always a lot of autumn leaf raking to do in these colourful weeks leading to winter. The leaves all go into bags to produce leaf mould.
