Stumpy Garden Images

Here is a collection of images of the Stumpy Garden. Some are recent, some from earlier in the garden's history.

Rhododendrons and large leafed Gunnera dominate the garden from spring on, and there are some beautiful coloured Phormiums to enjoy later in the seasons. It's a garden filled with greenery, and you won't see many autumn colours. Most of the roses I originally planted in here have been shifted out to sunnier places.

The edge of the water race provides a wonderful feature, though the waterside plantings need constant trimming. And beware of those sneaky Gunnera seedlings!

The Stumpy Garden has seen many changes over the years. Shady areas have turned into sun traps, trees have come and gone, and plants have been shifted in and out. No doubt there will be many more changes to come...
