Ornamental Angelica

Forums Newsletter Share

Lucky gardeners have at least one plant they've brought into their gardens which visitors are amazed and stunned by. My special plant is an ornamental Angelica, which grows at the back of the Moosey wood shed.

 It flowers from mid-summer on.
Angelica

I can't remember whether I bought in seeds, or a mail order plant, of this purple flowering biennial Angelica. I know I've never ever seen it offered since in the catalogues. I've always called it 'Korean Angelica' (from a dim, distant catalogue memory), though the Elder Moosey Son insists on calling it the 'Bee Hotel' plant. Look in the photograph and you'll soon see why!
