Driveway Fork and Leylands

When the driveway comes in from the road it splits into two. To the left is the house and the house garden. The drive to the right goes up and over the water race to the hay barn in the back paddock.

The sheep move along this drive between paddocks.

This is an early archive photograph, taken before I built a garden in the grass area to the right. There is a row of shelter trees - Leyland Cypress - on the left. It's a pity that we get such fierce winds here in Canterbury, because the shelter trees block our view of the distant Southern Alps. It just isn't an option to live here without shelter from the wind.
