Garden Border Pictures

The borders contain too many plants to mention all by name. For me the spikey plants always stand out, and I enjoy the repetition of flaxes, astelias and tussocks throughout the longer borders. In my garden the borders are interesting in all seasons, as our winters are reasonably mild. All borders are edged with river stones, and surrounded by lawns.

In early autumn the colours in the garden borders over the water race seem deeper and more vibrant than ever. Favourite New Zealand flaxes are beautiful beside the rippling water.
