Hazel Gate

This is the garden gate in the Leyland shelter hedge which leads from the gardens into the orchard.

 A sturdy Stephen construction.
Gate in the Trees

The right-of-way bends and dives through the double row of trees, so that the southerly storms are blocked from whistling through the gap.

There is now a marked and well suggested route from the house - through the rose pergola, across Middle Bridge, through Middle path and straight in front of you (hidden in the hedge) is Hazel Gate. Sounds like a children's story, doesn't it!
