Middle Garden Images
Middle Garden is a very green garden, dominated by evergreen shrubs (particularly rhododendrons), Gunnera (from late spring on) and New Zealand's spiky leafed foliage fantastics - Corylines, Astelias, and Phormiums. This page shows you some of my latest photographs - from shrub flowers to greenery.
Gardens are dynamic and ever changing, none more so than Middle Garden. Whatever happened to the Psoralia? The frost got it. The Magnolia? It died quietly one winter. The orange dahlia? I must have moved it. And the Golden Hop? A most unsuitable choice.
Meanwhile an unremarkable green leafy ground cover has been doing very well for years, thankyou - I have no idea of its name. Carexes and Pseuopanaxes, self-sown, are also thriving, and the Gunnera goes from strength to strength. Or should I say 'grows' from strength to strength?
