Rugosa Rose Hips

In the middle of summer my Rugosa roses by the glass-house garden have already formed red rose hips, as well as starting to flower again. The Rugosa rose in this close-up photograph is possibly Frau Dagmar Hastrup.

My small collection of Rugosa roses has been planted here for some years. They put on a great flower show in spring, and later in autumn their leaves change colour before falling. There's something for every season - of course the red rose hips last into the winter months!
