Rugspin Rugosa Rose
Rugspin is a striking rose - a rugosa, single, with magenta-red (AKA carmine) coloured flowers. All the online nurseries agree - it's healthy, grows quite tall, and has beautiful hips in autumn.

They don't agree on the flower characteristics, varying from single (my local nursery), semi-double (RHS), to fully double. I count five petals on my Rugspin. It's bred by Petersen, Denmark. One Australian nursery has this warning : 'Will get very big if you let it go'. Oops.
