Blue Green Hosta

This blue green hosta clump is due for dividing. It is one of the original texture plantings in the Apple Tree Garden.

Blue-Green Hosta

In this early photograph, a Cream Delight flax and a patch of Iris Japonica contrast with the hosta leaves. The yellow leafed shrub is a young Choisya Sundance.

In a fit of tidiness I pulled all the green strappy irises out some months ago and replaced them with late winter flowering wallflowers. This part of the border is also well served by blue flowering Agastache plants - they have self seeded, and give height to the front of this garden in mid-summer.
