Good morning July...

 Smooching the patio table.
Fred

Good morning, July. It's mid-morning, still frosty, and I'm outside on the patio table with a hot coffee. My two Fred cats are with me in the sun, eyeing each other up (each probably planning a sneaky ambush of the other).

Clean up June's mess...

Humph. I'm off to clean up the mess I created a couple of days ago. It has to be done. I wish I'd done it when I made it, back in June. It's a new month now, seems so unfair.

Late lunchtime...

Oh boy. Now there's even more mess, because I've just spent two hours trimming the last clump of Gunnera by Car Bridge. Am back at the patio table, this time with a hot chocolate, feeling very sorry for myself. I have to settle my mind, which is now overwhelmed with more mess. Break it down into simple, manageable tasks, yes?

Simple, manageable tasks...

  1. Gunnera leaf mess - collect and stash under hedge
  2. Gunnera stalk mess - ditto
  3. Wet mess - ditto
  4. Dry mess - collect and take to bonfire
  5. Light the bonfire.

I feel better already. That wasn't too difficult!

 For the log-burner.
Firewood

Late afternoon...

Done. Am much happier. Barrowed in some dry firewood for the log-burner (nice that we process our own on the property). Took some rather bleak looking photographs. Show it like it is, right? One not so good thing - I think I burnt my good secateurs. Oops. Poked at the bonfire, couldn't find them.
