Creamy White Camellias

Ha! The Camellias, flowering a bit early this year, and oh so beautiful. I am so grateful, happy that I've planted these rather self-contained shrubs. I love their place on the seasonal spectrum. Yeay! Winter colour and the promise of spring - very generous.

And I'm loving the slightly longer days, where the daylight seems to spread itself around the garden a lot more. But I still can't really garden happily until the afternoon. Would like some warmer mornings. But winter deserves to be embraced. Variety is the spice of gardening life, weatherwise.

And how good have I been this last week, spreading horse manure on the garden, raking dry mess up each day and bonfiring it all, before the rain? Because there will be no raking and bonfiring possible today.

Have just been for a lonely walk around the garden. The lazybones dogs couldn't be bothered coming with me. It is bleak and cold out there. Took a few photographs, then scuttled quickly back inside. Brr...
