Over...

My birthday celebrations are over for another year. I rather love them going on and on. But enthusiasm from friends and family is now politely fading. And normal life goes on.

What should I do today? Sit down somewhere and weed? Possibly cart barrow loads over to the bonfire, if appropriate? Hmm... Mixing the two activities might be better for my slightly slow body. Will put my shorts on (that will stop me going too slow).

 In the Wattle Woods.
Kaponga Rhododendron

Two hours later...

All I did was to sit down and weed along the edge of the Stumpy garden. I just left all my mess lying on the grass. Then I wandered around taking photographs of the Camellias. I love the Camellias at this time of the year.

Welcome to the red rhododendron Kaponga, finally flowering after being trashed (more than once) by the falling Wattle trees over the last few years. And to the big pink rhododendrons by Middle Bridge. You are all amazing!

Tuesday 15th September

I have a small window of gardening opportunity today, between my social commitments and music rehearsals. My plan is to clean up after yesterday's weeding, but not to light the bonfire. Don't want to spoil this beautiful still, sunny spring day.

 Beautiful!
Big Pink Rhododendrons

Blast. Only managed fifteen minutes - pruned the Gerbe Rose and a couple of ferns in the Herb Spiral. Hardly worth mentioning....
