Lost!

 Far too subtle a colour!
Edging Shears

Blast. I've lost my edging shears. Again! And the wind is awful. It is noisy, very gusty, and my trees are making alarming sounds. Creaking, squeaking, whining, groaning...

Am not happy being outside, wondering if any branches will drop on my head. Have cleared the edges around the Stables Garden (the lavender is looking amazing), dug out some Alkanet (oh joy), and watered the patio pots. That's all.

Where are they?

Have obvious plodded around looking for my edging shears. Where are they? Where have I left them? I can visualise them in dozens of silly places - for example, leaning against a Phormium obscured by greenery. Or lying in the longish grass, hardly visible, having a secret snooze.

I checked Non-Gardening Partner's lawn mower in the garage - perhaps he'd rescued them while mowing. Nope. Tried the same route again, around the borders where I remembered using them last. No luck. 'They're probably lying in the lawn somewhere rusting.' he'd replied, rather cheerfully (considering they'd put his mower well and truly out of action if he ran over them). So I'd spent over half an hour shuffling around the lawn kicking at grass blades, staring down...
