MY day!
Today is THE day! It is MY day! It's Thursday, the day that I don't go out. Yeay! I am an old woman going nowhere (particularly not to the dentist), and that's a wonderful feeling.
So far I've spent three hours in the Shrubbery, pulling out the last of the Periwinkle and rebuilding the small stone wall around the courtyard. Have removed three loads of mess, and wheeled in one bag of compost to build up the soil. Am laying down the thickest logs I can find to act as a barrier, to help me remember where the periwinkle is allowed to grow and where it is banned.

Best Dahlia
Since I plan to finish this today, I'd better get back out there.
Yes?
And If I am really, really good I'm allowed to drive down to the local nursery to look at their daffodils for sale. If the price is right I am allowed to buy some. Yes?
No!
Cancel that. No I am not. I have to save thousands of dollars for my dodgy tooth replacement. Blast. Every little helps.
Three more hour later...
Have finished! Fixed one of the garden benches - it is stable, and completely non-rotting. Spread the compost, replaced the little stone wall, and spent the last hour burning all my mess.

Me and WInnie in the Courtyard
Time to go apres gardening. Am pleased with myself. Slightly sore hands though.
Next day...
Worked for three hours in the Hump Garden weeding and planting Dutch Iris bulbs. Dug out another large big pink Dahlia which was languishing underneath a large Miscanthus and replanted it out in the open by the lawn edge. Made plans in my head to maybe shift some roses around. Good work, me.
