Real winter!
Real winter has arrived - it's raining and only four degrees Celsius outside. That's not very helpful. I've even put on merino long johns under my jeans. It's cold!
Winter Walking with The Dogs
Every hour I take the dogs out for a cold wet walk around the driveway - my new Goretex jacket seems to be doing the business. When we come back in, the house feels very warm and cosy. Love that log burner.
I love my garden, even though the winter drab restricts the colour palette. The rain is great for my mass Agapanthus planting. A few roses do continue to try flowering, but really - it's too late for them. Will be pruning them soon. Eek!
Friday 4th July
Took the day off yesterday, feeling a bit under the weather. Ha ha! An appropriate phrase. Spent all day fixing up my music scores for upcoming gigs.
In better spirits...
Today am in much better spirits, though the day outside is pretty bleak. But bleak is OK.
Have just been for a camera and dog walk (just Winnie) and have found all sorts of pretty coloured things. Nothing amazingly saturated, everything on a small scale, but delightful.
