Agapanthus days...
Yet more Agapanthus days. Today I spent two hours in the morning dividing and trimming, getting the pieces ready for planting. Then went off to the dentist. Eek.

Winnie the Dog
Came home with a totally numb mouth, went straight back outside, planted until I got too cold. Thought that was a really good thing to do apres-dentist. No point in having an afternoon cup of hot coffee.

Oh so responsible...
And now I'm clean and warm, the log-burner is going, the evening meal is gurgling in the oven, and the sun has gone down. Am happy. My mouth is back. Feel terribly responsible about my teeth. There are some things one just has to do, right? Even if one puts them off a bit.
Wednesday 18th June
It's another cold, frosty morning, which means the start of my gardening work is delayed. I've been sitting by the log-burner reading my book, thinking how warm the summer sunshine is. OK. Enough reminiscing. On with the shorts (brr...) and out I go.
Success!
Lunchtime - success. Have finally finished dividing all the Agapanthus into pieces. Yeay for me! Dumped all the messy roots by the fence-line in a scruffy wilderness area, where they can sprout to their heart's content. Maybe by the end of today all the plants will be in the ground? Maybe not. Time for those much muttered gardener's words again : 'I am going to make a start on....'

New Plantings of Agapanthus
Two hours later...
I planted approximately one hundred pieces, after clearing and weeding the area where they were going. And I reckon I have maybe two hundred left. A mass of mass planting done, and not much left to do. The trailer is empty again. Nice work - I'm so happy that this wilderness area is finally being planted. P.S. I've propped the three Yuccas up by the fence while I think (carefully) about where to plant them.
