Forget-Me-Nots?

Alkanet Flowers
My garden in spring is so speedy! Now it's time to start pulling out the annual forget-me-nots. Dear things! Eek! I'm getting biddibids all over my clothes. Something to do apres-gardening - remove them all?
Thursday 29th October
Had to kept myself busy today (missing my darling Winnie dog). Spent over four hours doing serious weeding in the Hump Garden. First the interior, where all my new dahlias are sprouting. Thanked them for ignoring the few frosts we've had.
Then weeded the whole of the main path, and the immediate garden on one side. A beautifully calm place to be (even if it's weedy).
There's so much fresh green growth, and pretty flowers from Aquilegias and Campion. Resisted the urge to chop down any Alkanet (a perennial forget-me-not). There are still quite a few flowers left, with bees buzzing from stalk to stalk, ever hopeful.

Spring in the Hump Garden
Oh dear, I miss my Winnie dog. She used to sit near me when I gardened. Looked around for her, then remembered. She's filling up my thoughts.

Rhododendrons in the Stumpy Garden
Took lots of photographs of the later season rhododendrons, which are all very big and very beautiful. I am so glad I planted them all those years ago.
Friday 30th October
Off into the garden to plant the following : purple Alyssum, Cornflowers, Courgettes, Parsley, and two roses (Fisherman's Friend and Blackberry Nip). Hope they all thrive in the sunny garden by the pergola. Then am I allowed to relax and go through my photographs. Yeay! I love my garden.
