Silly spring weather...

Path to the Pond
So yesterday the temperature struggled between zero and six degrees Celsius, with a couple of hours of snow thrown in for good measure. Today the sun is back and it's about eighteen degrees. I'm back in my gardening shorts. Silly, silly spring weather.
Monday 28th September
Today I could garden again. For three hours I sat in the Welcome Garden, slowly and thoughtfully (actually was thinking about the dodgy music gig I'd played in the night before) weeding. Then I burned all my mess. I've taken yet more photographs of blossom and other pretty things. I am so happy.
Tuesday 29th September
Am back from swimming and visiting family. I am off into the garden - same place as yesterday. Will take a giant bucket to fill with weeds - they will possibly be too wet to burn. Yeay for another sunny day!
Welcome to October...
Welcome to October! Yeay! Welcome to the first rose (Canary Bird) and the yellow Genista. Welcome to yet more blossom.
First thing this morning I went out and played piano for my old ballet class. What fun! Then zoomed back home to the garden. First, I weeded around the Shrubbery Courtyard. Then went off into the Periwinkle Woods, dragging self along the path on my bottom, again weeding. An amazing place to be sitting down in, surrounded by all those pretty blue flowers - a sea of green and blue.

Silver Pear Tree Blossom
I've come in for a quick drink, then I plan to rake up everything and take it to the bonfire, which I will light as late in the day as possible. Have rescued some clumps of Agapanthus and some Lychnis plants which I will pot up.
Later...
Another hour and a half spent raking up and burning my mess. Thought for the day : I am very lucky to be able to play music and do gardening on the same day with the same fingers, if that makes any sense.
