Speedy spring!
This new spring month is zooming by! So many changes in the garden, lots of fresh green leaves, blossom blowing off some trees, new flowers (like the larger Dogwoods) appearing. Yeay for speedy spring!
Today I was good. I finished yesterday's work. The Phormium is completely gone, roots axed out, dead leaves burnt, green leaves stashed. Hard physical work, am so glad it's done.

The Phormium is Gone...
Came inside and went canoe adventuring in the Woodland Caribou Provincial Park (Ontario, Canada) with my latest Youtube buddy, The Dutch Explorer.
I loooove Moose...
Am still fascinated by the travel connections between rivers, lakes, ponds, and creeks in Canada. And I loooove Moose - such beautiful, big, brown creatures, with big snouts and big bottoms.
First Wisteria
Monday October 5th
A new day, a new week (not that that matters much), new library books, new Wisteria flowers, and hopefully some new resolve. Woke up feeling very body-stiff and dozy-headed. Luckily the sun is shining and the day has warmed up nicely (started off at two degrees Celsius). There's only one thing I want to do today - to make my garden more beautiful.
Three hours later...
Aha! The gardens around the back lawn are much more beautiful. Why? Because I've trimmed their edges as well as weeding. And so is the back lawn, because I've raked up the grass clippings. Made a start weeding around the Herb Spiral, too, and planted my new Wormwood plants (not sure what I would ever use it for).
Two more hours later...
I re-laid the stones behind the woodshed, making the wee garden there a little bit bigger. The lawn-mower won't even notice. And I raked up mess from the Pond Paddock and burnt it. I didn't run out of puff. What a champion!

Behind the Woodshed
Now, apres-gardening, I'm off to continue my canoe journey. Non-Gardening Partner thinks I'm quite silly. But he's Canadian, so the ten thousand (or more) lakes and rivers in wilderness Canada are no surprise to him. He's never travelled on them, though.
