Buckets of water...

 One of the successes.
New Camellia

Just like THAT the garden is looking dry, and desperately needs water. Overnight rain would be nice. I now have a strict morning water bucket routine, which takes ages. Interesting what a few nor-west windy days will do. Even the forget-me-nots are looking a bit sad.

Oops...

Oops. Have just been out watering the second hand Camellias I planted four weeks ago. The short fat pink ones look OK. But the taller white flowering ones look suspicious (not surprising, since they came with very few roots). Not a problem. If they are dead, I'll buy in new ones to fill the planting holes which are already dug.

Later...

What a dozy day I've had, fixated on the watering issue. Tried out my little hoses - found a broken fitting, water gushing out, no pressure anywhere else (obviously). The wind kept rattling through the big gum tree - ever so slightly scary. Went off down the road to pick up some horse manure. Did a bit more watering.

More bucketing...

Then had to go out to a singing rehearsal. Came home, did yet more bucket watering. Very windy. Too windy for me. Gave up and came inside to process my spring photographs. Gorgeous.

And now I have two more music rehearsals to go out to. I think I need a strong coffee to keep awake!

Thursday 18th September

Aargh! There's no time even to write a list. I have just under three hours to be in my garden before I go out for yet another singing rehearsal. But Non-Gardening Partner is organised, and will to fix my little watering hose system. That will help a lot.

Lunchtime...

I spread lots of compost and garden mix around the Herb Spiral, then sat down and weeded the little garden in the back lawn. And then it was time to go. Blast. No time to even clean my fingernails.

By the end of this week I will have been to eight music rehearsals : my Blues Band, my chamber music trio, my acapella folk singing trio, my women's Bob Dylan tribute band, my jazz choir (Jazzamatazz), and the CBS choir (with orchestra). And then I have three different performances, all on the same day. Eek!

 Rehomed in the Wattle Woods.

P.S. I love everything I do. Just as well!
